As well as running our own free community courses and workshops for women on our mailing list, we also work in partnership with other locality services which enables us to share resources i.e. premises, crèche, travel and tutor fees. This also makes access easier for women who are already in contact with a partnership project.
Wise Women can often finance and facilitate free Focus Groups for women who want to meet with others who have shared experiences / discriminations e.g. black and minority ethnic women, women with physical / sensory impairments, survivors of abuse, women dealing with mental health issues, women dealing with addiction and young women etc.
If you are working with a group of women who would like to meet as a Focus Group we recommend you contact the office to set up a meeting with staff to discuss what’s required for a focus group, identifying funds and appropriate Tutors.
In addition, we also receive requests from services who wish Wise Women to develop, organise and facilitate a course or workshops specifically for their own service or area. If you are planning to apply for funding for a course or workshop, Wise Women can provide you with information, statistics and evaluations on impact to support your application. Staff can also attend meetings if required to outline our work.
Wise Women can also provide personal safety workshops for staff specific to the needs of the organisation; e.g. lone working, reception duty, communication with service users with complex needs etc.
Here are our basic costs for your information. This excludes potential development and management fees.
